San Diego SEO Meet Up

Since work ended at 5:00pm, there was a lot of time to waste and old buddies Mikhail and Ivan where there early as well to talk about stuff and catching up on various stories. We were later on joined by our new friend Robert Ma who has his own air purification business. Several friends that showed up, Clint, Aron, Jesse, Shawn and Gilda. Although Shawn had to leave earlier and missed most of the networking part, Aron left after most of the presentation was done. Who I did not see that RSVP’d were buddies: Camron, Marko and John although I already knew John could not come for something came up that he needed to be at his place.

Anita talk about several link building techniques which was a pretty good comprehensive talk on several link building techniques. One thing I did not hear from here link baiting titles/topics you can target were the top/best list. Top 10 whatever, Best 5 something, Best 8 something, The top 11 people doing whatever. These list sometimes still get some link love, but overall it was all cool. Well done, thanks Anita.

Here is a quick story from this SEO meeting. There was some guy who wanted to promote his sauce business. So he asked us a favor. Basically if we like the sauce we should blog about it and give that business owner some link love. Everyone’s like: Sure no problem! We will do that :-) Then I said out loud “So, if we won’t like the sauce, then we will place “NO FOLLOW” tag on it!” It was funny to see that businessman’s face reaction LOL

By the way, about 30% of the attendances were invited by Benj. Thanks to Anita Cohen-Willia and Benj Arriola for this wonderful gathering.
