Probably not new to some of you

Google finally does cache updates, but barely changing the SERPs

By Benj Arriola - Posted on Sun Sep 24, 2006

As many websites in the contest were stuck with results with cache dates of September 17 and some on page 1 had dates of September 21, even with frequent Googlebot visits and sitemap downloading according to their numbers, no cache changes were observed. But now many sites have September 23 cache dates, but still no major jumping around in the SERPs. Just a few adjacent position switching. With only a 5 days left before the contest ends, it looks like we are no longer going to see any major change and probably the current people on page 1 are already the winners of the Isulong SEOph contest.

  1. Isulong SEOph » That’s it, I believe it’s over Says:

[...] Googlebot goes over the sites almost everyday, but Google cache was displaying September 17 and September 21 dates. Now many sites are updated with September 23 cache dates and the results has barely changed. Looks like the results are already the final results on the day of awarding. Congratulations to all the winners. I believe this SEO contest was a very educational one to many of the member of SEO Philippines. See you all at the awarding. [...]
