Using Dennis Agulo’s SEOBunker, it is easy to compare results between Ituloy AngSulong SEO contest entries. And one common pattern that seems to currently appear, generally sites that rank high on Google and Yahoo, seem to be beyond the 100 mark on MSN. And sites that rank high in MSN, are beyond the 100 mark in both Google and Yahoo. With the exception of Marhgil’s entry, which seems to rank well in all three search engines, giving the his Ituloy AngSulong site the highest advantage in the cumulative SEO contest rankings.

I am also currently puzzled with MSN’s behavior and has created an experimental Ituloy AngSulong page just for MSN, but it seems the real problem is MSN also seem takes a lot of time to index it. While some sites seem to rank high in MSN, these sites are down on Yahoo and Google, except for the site of Marhgil.

And this was not the case with MSN before. With many of my SEO clients, I basically just optimized my site for Google and Yahoo and I never had to check MSN, and I just know my site will be on top. But today, we are seeing something different with MSN. But this may not necessary mean MSN search algorithm is different, it can also mean maybe their crawling of new pages is slower? Or maybe crawls are done fast, but whatever initial computations MSN does in its algorithm before adding the site in the indexed search results takes more time this time? Maybe all these changes all have to do with MSN’s transition to MSN Live? I really do not know.

I have posted a poll on the homepage of Ituloy Angsulong, asking this question:

Which of the following you think will be the first Ituloy AngSulong site to get the number 1 rank?

• A keyword rich domain with Ituloy AngSulong.: 43%
• An existing Isulong SEOph website.: 0%
• An old domain.: 14%
• None of the above.: 43%

With a mixed number of respondents, many believed an Isulong SEOph website will not be the first to get the number 1 spot. As I have mention in my previous post, the first is MSN was Whin’s BBD. And that specific post was an Isulong SEOph website. The first on Yahoo was Benj’s isulongseoph.com.ph which is also an Isulong SEOph website. But on Google, looks like the survey stats were true. A keyword rich domain was the first to get the top spot right away. Rostom Hernandez, Isulong SEOph 3rd place winner grabs the holeshot in being the first to rank number 1 for Ituloy Angsulong. This does not surprise me at all. Rostom from the very start of the Isulong SEOph competition, he was always in striking distance, never that much far from the current leader.

What is this telling us? Is more weight given by Google than Yahoo and MSN for keyword rich domains?

If you search for Ituloy AngSulong in the search engines. Google and Yahoo are displaying no results. But MSN, now called Live, shows something different. MSN is known to not give as much great results as Google when it comes to relevancy. Relevancy is the main factor that made Google popular when they have just launched several years ago. Although MSN is know to crawl your sites and get them index a lot faster than other search engines. And current MSN is showing results already for Isulong AngSulong just a day after this has been announced as the keywords at the SEO Philippines Beer-con.

Looks like Whin Clores’ BBD is going for the attack early on. If he is the first in the SERPs on MSN/Live, he might just be the first as well on Google and Yahoo. What do you think?
