How to find Google Patents

So you think you have a Google-killer idea? A search engine of all search engines? An invention so revolutionary that Google might buy your work? Stop and take a look around the US Patent and Trademark Office website.
Every new unique work done by a careful individual will always have his work patented by his country’s patent office. A patent by definition is a set of exclusive rights granted by a state to a patentee for a fixed period of time in exchange for a disclosure of an invention (check Wikipedia for more details).
The US Patent and Trademark Office website showcases a complete list of all patent protected inventions from individual and businesses, as well as trademarks and intellectual property. Checking from their site I have noticed that Google has already made several patents on their past and recent works, some I have no idea what they’re for. (more…)
Google Maps Reaches Out to Your Area
Friday, September 28th, 2007Google Maps now has a wider coverage for Asian and Latin American countries. It only used to have vector map data in some countries like the United States, Europe and other countries which have a centralized mapping system. For some countries like the Philippines, map users rely heavily on the information contributed and shared by individuals on keyhole.com or pagenation.com.

Blogging is the new black … cash in on it!
Wednesday, September 26th, 2007Yes, I know this post can never compete with the one about the SEO Song, but in blogging (as in showbiz), the show must go on. =)
At any rate, according to a Marketing Daily survey, 80% of Americans are blogging it up. Half of all Americans actually frequent blogs of all sorts. Some people are surprised at this due to the fact that blogging is quite the neophyte when it comes to media conduits. However, this writer is not in any way dumbfounded.
It’s been coming along for some time now and it’s about time that advertisers notice the power and potential that a blog carries. Just look below at how you can use blogs in your internet media campaigns cheaply and effectively (as compared to other media). (more…)
