Google Keywords Tool Showing Some Numbers Appears Briefly
Tuesday, March 20th, 2007If you have used the Google Keyword Tool mainly made for Adwords users to guide them in buying sponsored links in the search results, you should have noticed the green bars that show you a range of how high a keyword or keyphrase is searched and how many people are bidding for it.
And just a 2 days ago, on the blog adamap, they have caught the Google Keyword Tool showing some actual figures. Numbers right beside the green bar but quickly disappeared. That would have been a very useful tool, but it seems it is still in the planning stage as it quickly went away.
Hopefully it stays there in the future. Even more useful, I hope they even add some estimated bid prices placed right beside it as well all in one view.
Google Webmaster Tools displays Anchor Text
Monday, March 19th, 2007Google seems to make the SEO’s life easier. The webmaster tools has grown from just the submit-my-xml-sitemap-feed to a good SEO diagnostic tool. You can see how often you are crawled by Googlebot, check the validity of your robots.txt and sitemap feed, top keyphrases you rank for and also top keyphrases that actually get clicked. And just a few days back, the nice break down of pages for the inbound links were added. And even more recent, now Google shows the anchor text data. You will find it under:
Statistics > Page Analysis > In external links to your site
I like it, but I will still use other backlink tools since it did give you the anchor text, and webmaster tools also gives you the backlinks. And now all it has to do is put those two together so you can see side-by-side what are the anchor text in the links from the sites that link to you.
Check Google Webmaster Tools and give it s spin.
My Ituloy AngSulong SEO Vacation
Monday, March 5th, 2007Upon Arrival in the Philippines
Ok, I was away for 2 weeks and went to the Philippines for SEO events, at the same time to see my family as well. In the Ituloy AngSulong SEO contest, I was in 2nd and 3rd overall by the end of January and all that changed when everyone started catching up in February and I was not working that much. I arrived in the Philippines on February 19, 2007 and had no Internet connection as the connection of SmartBro was erractic. And was not able to know what was happening in the SEO Philippines contest. And I knew I still needed to place my required links and edit my confirmation file. I had to rent at some Internet cafe just to fix it. And I didn’t even memorize my passwords and I needed to work everything around just to get into my accounts. (more…)
