About a year and a half ago, sometime 2005, I was working at Einstein Industries, and I can’t remember who sent me an IM, but I believe it was Camron Deen. He sent me a message showing me a website of the Search Marketing Standard Magazine where it said you get a free magazine subscription for 1 year. This seemed to be only of it’s kind since there was no print magazine dedicated to search marketing. I signed up then and in 2006, I got all issues of this quarterly magazine for free and so far, I like it. It is not really like a super wow magazine, but it’s good enough for a cheap price. Now the 1 year has ended and I decided to renew the magazine for the next 3 years for only $35. I believe in 2006, there were many people that received their free copies since a lot of people signed up for it. So everyone that subscribed to this for free last year, and still like the magazine, don’t forget to renew the subscription. If you have not subscribed to this magazine, I suggest you do since it is cheap anyway.

This new SEO Contest recently started for the keywords: GlobalWarming Awareness2007. This just started yesterday, January 15, 2007 when the keywords were released at 1pm EST. I was on trying to get the best domains but domain registrations were going on like crazy. In the first 10 minutes, all major domains were taken already.

Currently on the 2nd day of the contest, and surprisingly, it has 12,000+ results on Google already.

Something I have not seen compared to Isulong SEOph, Ituloy AngSulong and Vorgermilten. But come to think of it, this contest, the first prize is a car. And to get this promoted, the organizers actually have a PPC campaign budget to promote the contest whose banner ads were all over Digital Point’s Forum. So I guess we are going to expect the best to be in the contest and that just makes the contest even a lot harder.

A funny video of a translation using Google Translate which was also a translation inaccuracy problem. In the documented video, when the line: Monica’s mama is very beautiful is translated from English to Spanish, and then the outputted Spanish line is translated back to English will not only give the same English line started out with, but something else that is quite funny and maybe even vulgar to some.

When translating this line to Spanish:

monica’s mama is very beautiful

This will give you:

el mama de los monica es muy hermoso

And when translated back to English will give you:

the breast of the monica is very beautiful

After testing this out, I still got the same result, although I noticed if you use mama as a proper noun, by having the first letter capitalized, like in:

el Mama de los monica es muy hermoso

Google translates the line back to English correctly as:

Mama of the monica is very beautiful

After further testing, I accidentally translated:

monica’s mama is very beautiful

from Spanish to English even if it is already in English. And what I got was:

monica’s sucks is very beautiful

I found this funny and told this to my friend Bill. And Bill said: Damn, everything is on Google. I can testify that information is correct and very accurate.
