SEO for Medical, Dental and Law Industry - Einstein Industries

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

When I moved to the US last July 2004, my first job that came a month after was at San Diego based company Einstein Industries. Being someone that has been designing and developing websites since 1997, I naturally got a web production job helping out building the websites and stayed with the company for nearly 2 years. Einstein Industries appears to be the king in their niche and is the dominant player in their field handling I believe more than 5,000 websites all across the United States mainly for Doctors, Dentist and Lawyers. Although my job there was primarily on chopping up PSD files and converting them into usable web pages in HTML, I can say Einstein Industries was the company that has given me first hand experience with starting to code in tableless CSS and with all basic SEO concepts as well.

With Einstein Industries recent participation at the 2006 PubCon, Einstein Industries President Robert Silkey and Einstein Industries Director of Marketing, the ever beautiful Pamela Lund discusses the SEO strategies in their industry and on going SEO trends interviewing the SEO Dalai Lama, Webmaster World’s Bakedjake and GoodROI. You may watch the interviews on the pop-up link on Einstein Television at the Einstein Medical website.

Although they may be discussing about the Medical, Dental and Law industries, the general knowledge SEO topics discuss are still good sources of information for the beginner SEO as they talk about blackhat vs. whitehat, bad neighborhood linking, churn and burn vs long-term strategies, the sand box and more. Check out the video.

Ituloy AngSulong invites you to SEO for a cause

Being part of the SEO industry, we know what it takes to rank high in the search engines and gain more popularity. I have seen a video on Friendster posted by someone which was part of a movement of social awareness. Trying to spread the word of the oppression on the Tibetan people. As I saw this video by the Free Tibet Campaign, and Students for a Free Tibet, I felt moved to spread the news and decided to blog about it and do some minor SEO practices to help spread the word in support of the Tibetan’s non-violent resistance. If you are interested in helping in this cause, visit my post entitled Free Tibet on my personal blog.

Google Search Command That Can Invade Ones Privacy And Security

Saturday, December 2nd, 2006

Axis Communication Security CamerasAxis Communications, is the maker of a wide variety of security cameras that can be connected to the Internet for remote viewing. Their products are excellent as they provide clear quality video streams that runs relatively fast. The purpose of the cameras can be used for security purposes, to all sorts of monitoring. From security your house perimeter, watching the nanny for abuse, monitoring business activities and a lot more.

One problem though is that maybe not only the owner may be the viewer of the webcam, but maybe a lot more. This can be a problem with security where a potential robber can monitor in real time when would be the best time to rob a house or business. Or this camera can be used for voyeurism purposes by unsuspected viewers.

Having a webcam stream online thinking that only you know the URL, even if it is some IP address that barely no one can memorize, this can still be searched.

Owners of Axis Communications’ webcams oftenly can publish online their streaming webcam page and will have a default URL pattern similar to as follows:

http://www.domain-or-ip-address.com/path/view/index.shtml

Knowing this, a search command can be done in Google called inurl. You can search the following in Google:

inurl:/view/index.shtml

And you will be surprised with the amount of webcams that are open to the public. Many of the results will show you outdoor public webcams of traffic, parks, universities and construction sites. But there are a few that are actual indoor rooms and offices. Here are a few I have found:

This list can go endless as Google gave me 10,400 results. With the domain and IP, you can narrow down the location up to some point.
