Now on the 3rd day of the Ituloy AngSulong SEO contest. With SERPs in MSN and Yahoo already. Both seem to be dancing. And I thought only the Google Dance existed. It seems that there is also such a thing as the Yahoo Dance and the MSN Dance. Interesting.After several refreshes on Yahoo searching Ituloy AngSulong, I occasionally get 3 kinds of results.

• Yahoo Dance Result 1: Only the Japanese site in the SERP.
• Yahoo Dance Result 2: Japanese site and isulongseoph.com.ph.
• Yahoo Dance Result 3: Japanese site, SEO Philippines and SEODance websites.

As for MSN, when searching for Ituloy AngSulong, you may get 2 kinds of results.

• MSN Dance Result 1: 256 pages in the SERPs with isulongseoph.com.ph as number 1.
• MSN Dance Result 2: 41 pages in the SERPs with SEO Philippines as number 1.

Although the Yahoo Dance and MSN Dance does not seem to be talked about that much, that is probably attributed to 2 reasons in my opinion.

• Yahoo and MSN does not dance as often as Google and their results are more stable.
• Less people notice Yahoo and MSN dancing since more people are looking at Google.

But even if we know the Google Dance is more popular with varying results on many occassions, they still seem to be the king in relevancy of results. I guess they have a more complicated algorithm and a larger number of datacenters that gives it more time to propagate among all Google Datacenters.

Looks like we all have to wear our disco shoes on, since it is going to be disco dancing everyday! Now, I got to practice my killer moves. Breakdance and strut are out, the moonwalk, and some robot dance are too oldschool. Runningman and Roget Rabbit, too 90’s. Damn, I do not know how to dance with the latest MSN Dance and Yahoo Dance craze.

I guess MSN/Live does not have the reputation Google has when it comes to search result relevancy, but it does have a better reputation when it comes to getting into the SERPs early. I remember in an old Microsoft press release where they did say that MSNbot will attempt to crawl the Internet and reach as far as it can every other day. As opposed to Google where they say they crawl every 30 days.

Google is known to index the slowest, but if you pay attention to your webstats, you may see Googlebot visit your website several times a day. I guess with the power of their algorithm to make results more relevant, it requires much more processing time as it considers in many factors, thus taking a longer time to be displayed in the SERPs.

For the contest SEO Ituloy AngSulong which has been announced just 2 days ago, on the very first day. MSN was showing results where the only entry was a site by Isulong SEOph 2nd place winner Whin Clores. Now on the 3rd day, MSN is now displaying 268 results.

Entries currently on the first page are:

• Benj Arriola’s isulongseoph.com.ph
• Ruel Bermudez’ blog.ruelbermudez.com
• An article on SEODance talking about ituloyangsulong.com
• Linux Guru Migs Paraz who has been quiet in the SEO Philippines group and it’s nice to see him talking again. migs.paraz.com
• Fernando Martirez’ box.com.ph.
• And the SEO Philippines post about the Ituloy AngSulong contest.

Although it is still to early to say that these results are the permanent results already and February is a very very long journey still. As much as MSN/Live is known to index faster, it is also faster to influence the search engine to change results so expect even more Ituloy AngSulong competitors to start moving up the SERPs.

Yahoo, although displaying 2 results already for Ituloy AngSulong, one of them does not seem to be an Ituloy AngSulong entry and is just some RSS content reader pulling some RSS feed from one of the contestants.

Again, it is still to early for any competitor to be celebrate, nor be to lose hope. And this SEO Contest has a long way to go.

And since SEO contest are very good SEO lesson teachers, there was almost a lesson everyday learned from the first contest Isulong SEOph.

And lessons learned now in day 3 of Ituloy AngSulong is, something many SEO people already know. MSN indexes and displays sites in the SERPs the fastest. Next is Yahoo, and last is Google. But apart from these already known facts, what other observations can be seen?

• Have you notices the search results for Ituloy AngSulong on MSN are mostly not the homepages? For IsulongSEOph.com.ph, it is the BuildingDreams WordPress theme and for Migs Paraz’ site are his popular post about Paypal and Smart Wifi.
• Why is the RSS feed of the Japanese site given so much importance that it was in the SERPs on the very 2nd day?

Just a day after the main keywords were announced, almost every TLD for Ituloy AngSulong was already taken. Currently taken:

• ituloyangsulong.com – Registered by a certain Charles Xavier?  Oh no? He is going to control all our minds! His site had a plain HTML page already only saying: “Surprised?” But now currently has WordPress with his first post about Error 404s.
• ituloyangsulong.net – Again also by Charles Xaview. Has a GoDaddy Parking page.
• ituloyangsulong.org – Another GoDaddy parking page but this one seems to be owned by Alan Ocab. He seems to be all over the place posting all sorts of various articles. But it does seem he probably knows his way around SEO. Probably one of the competitors to look out for.
• ituloyangsulong.biz – Currently displaying a Plesk default setup page. Owned by “Default Profile?” Looks like Isulong SEOph 9th place winner Noel Baustista to me. *LOL*
• ituloyangsulong.info – Another domain by Noel Bautista, with a plain HTML page answering Charles Xavier’s initial website is a plain HTML page saying: “No I’m not surprised. -ituloyangsulong.info.“
• ituloy-angsulong.com – Owned by Benj Arriola. Currently 301′s to his Isulong SEOph website.
• ituloy-angsulong.net – Although already taken, no whois information is reflected yet. Configured to point to a server already but the hosting account is not yet setup and gives you an Error 403.
• ituloy-angsulong.org – Isulong SEOph 3rd place winner Rostom Hernandez gets another .org. Currently on a CPanel server with a new account setup with nothing uploaded yet.
• ituloy-angsulong.info – Another domain by Benj Arriola and also 301′s to isulongseoph.com.ph.

Looks like the same thing is happening when Isulong SEOph was first announced. And I checked once again the Isulong SEOph domains, and surprisingly, even isulongseoph.name was taken. Are we going to see the same thing with Ituloy AngSulong?
